USANA Success Story: Lights, camera, action . . . lively California couple direct own USANA story

More than 20 years ago, Bud and Bunny Barth wanted to find a way to stay close to home to be with their children. So, Bunny, a former professional dancer, and Bud, a professional voice-over actor who has performed the voice of many well-known characters including Fred Flintstone and Chester Cheetah, decided that rather than pursuing their own paths to stardom, they would focus their talents behind the scenes. They soon established their own studio, Del Mar Media Arts, and began to produce, cast, and train actors to do voice-overs, commercials, and film projects. It’s been a perfect business because it has given them freedom to be with their family and pursue their passions.

One of those passions is USANA, which the Barths joined in 1994. Today, they say their USANA business has provided them with an important additional stream of income and an extraordinary quality of life. Their days and nights are filled with the work that they love, and the USANA® Nutritionals help them maintain the energy needed to keep up with a demanding schedule. And they insist the financial freedom they have gained from their USANA business has allowed them to run both of their businesses more successfully.

With both of their businesses running smoothly, the Barths have been able to visit places they never dreamed of seeing. They have toured Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, and were able to take their entire family to Maui for a Hawaiian holiday. “We just wake up every day glad to be alive,” Bunny exclaims. “We have had an amazing experience with USANA. We have traveled the world and made great friends, we’ve done great things with our children, and we’re not overwhelmed with debt anymore.”

The Barths appreciate the sense of security that comes with financial freedom. “One of the key enticements of USANA is that it is a solid way to plan for retirement, which can be very tricky for small businesses,” Bunny says. “And, if one of us were to become ill, we’ve built a security in our business. Whatever should befall us, we should have plenty of time to regroup and do whatever is necessary to make things right. That’s something you can’t put a value on. It’s peace of mind.”

They feel strongly that USANA is good for their family, which is why both of their daughters—Monica and Amanda, who are now grown with families of their own—are members of their downline. The Barths also enjoy sharing their happiness with the many people they come in contact with and find helping others is personally fulfilling. “There are people who are being helped and lives that are being changed, prolonged, and enriched,” Bunny explains. Bud adds, “Telling others about USANA is a responsibility you have. When one candle lights another candle, it loses nothing of itself.”
